
THE BLUEBIRD COFFEE CO. BRAND IDENTITY
The Bluebird Coffee Co. is an Alaskan-based mobile coffee shop that serves delicious coffee, hot drinks, and snacks in the mountains at snow sporting events all over Alaska. Locally owned and operated by Elizabeth W. who envisioned bringing “The Bluebird” sunshine and powder in the mountains to life in a community that lives to play in the backcountry of the Alaskan Mountains.
The term “Bluebird” means a clear-skied, sunny, fresh snowfall day to outdoor enthusiasts. It is depicted in the logo with mountains and a snowflake-shaped sun that represents clear skies and fresh powder! The supporting icons included in the logo reinforce this concept of fresh snow (snowflake icon), hot coffee (cup icon), and endless energy provided by hot coffee (lightning bolt). The branding of the logo was kept playful, bold, and energetic using font ‘Beach Bar’ in ‘Heavy.’
The target audience is for snowboarders, snow machiners/snow mobilers, skiers, and all other snow related events happening across the state that The Bluebird would be catering at. The Mobile coffee shop occupied spaces such as a yurt, mobile tent, and mobile trailer. It brought together a space to rest, recharge, and experience the community of sled necks! The logo variants are extremely versatile and can be used on a lot of different branding elements. The logo can be reduced to just black and white and be used as a stamp for applying branding to paper coffee cups. The word mark lock up with supporting icons and main logo variations can be applied across a wide variety of clothing, web presence, and even cookies!
